January 2012:

CSAA Longbow shoot : Spring 2012 entry form now posted.

Paul Reed gets a three gold end. He says, "3 orange fletched arrows are in the gold at 60 yds!!  Not bad for a pensioner!! It's only taken 35 years!!"

  • September handicaps table updated (members only)
  • Green Park Weekend: Lot's of fun as usual & sweltering weather! Archery Golf, Field shoot, Novelty targets and a Clout, which somehow Jed managed to win! (my pictures on Flickr)

September:

  • Woking Open Hereford: Catherine won the Ladies Longbow, Jacqui came second on Ladies recurve, Jed came second on Gents Longbow, and Cath and Jed won the Longbow Pair. (pictures)
  • Surrey Longbow shoot: Results TBC. (pictures)

August:

  • New Handicap table for August in the members section.
  • Guildford Acorn shoot: Despite using my old bow; because I forgot to pack hers(!); Catherine shot her way to take the women's Hereford prize, and claim her first Rose award. And only 3 point short of a MB score.
  • Saints and Halo, Petersfield: 7 Aug: Early start, new venue. friendly shoot. Catherine took the Women's Longbow Albion, much to her surprise (65 hits, 6 golds, 283 score). Jed came 6th in the men's event. Photos on my Flickr account

July:

  • Surrey Archery Weekend (SAW)... Went there, got wet, got medals... Saturday Catherine: 1st 70m Masters Masters Women Longbow;  Jed: 3rd Masters Mens Longbow. Sunday Catherine: 2nd Masters Women Longbow County; Jed: 1st Masters Men Longbow County. Come along next year and give us more competition!
  • New handicap table uploaded (Members only).

Welcome to the new website!

The bad news is that all club members will need to register again to get into the 'Members Only' area (use the 'Login Form', Create Account link on the left hand menu to get started) and then wait for me to approve them - so please use a name that I can cross-reference with the official members list. I already had one 'spam' account trying to register!

The good news is that this site is more maintainable. I am still in the process of transferring older content over (mostly photos). If you want to let me know about bad links or have other content you want loaded, email me using the 'Website administrator' entry on the Contact details page.

Bonnie won the Recurve. In Longbow; Pete got a Spot prize and Cath came second in the women after a protracted shoot off. Pete and Jed also came second with 3 hits each. Photos
